Stainless steel bonsai tools, Master grade stainless steel Kiri shear
Features
  • The Kiri shear is similar to the Satsuki shear but with a narrow body and longer reach. This makes this shear excellent for trimming deep inside Bonsai that have dense foliage.

I have been in the market for a pair of scissors that I can use on my Foemina Junipers. Foemina require scissors with a sharp edge that make a clean cut resulting in fewer brown needles. I recently purchased a pair of the stainless steal scissors. The size was perfect for getting in between the small Foemina needles and more importantly delivered a clean cut that maintained it's sharp edge. They also worked great on my other junipers (San Jose and Nana's).

5 of 5 Bonsai Scissors Tuesday, September 24, 2013

I have had the opportunity to employ the bonsai scissors that you lent to me for trial use.  I find that they are superior to all other tools I have previously used.  They have the combination of robust construction coupled with excellent fine blade-tip design.  This allows a more flexible use of the tool.  Flexibility saves time and in my capacity of Curator of Bonsai at the Clark Center for Japanese Art and Culture saving time translates into the ability to work more  efficiently on the Clark Center Bonsai Collection.
